i have a pair of veileds brother and sister that are approximately 12 weeks old now. both are doing pretty good, but the male is growing faster than the female.
she doesnt eat as well as he does but thats not what i am curios about.
My male seems to have diarrhea i guess. and he poos alot!!
Is this a problem?
my panther or my jacksons never had this problem at that age. anyway what do you all think?

Are they housed together that would stunt growth. As far as the runs could be several thing's.

20x12x18 screen. 5.0 reptisun uv with a 60w incandescent heat bulb. both have the same enclosure

sorry but i dont have a week to answer 40 question but i manually mist 2-3 times a day and i use a humidifier. also to measure these levels i use a temperature humidity device that is basically used by heating and a/c techs. i don't monitor it all the time but i check my levels twice a day. my 10 check is cage at 78 and humidity 72% at night the cage is 68 and the humidity comes down to about 64% i am confident in my cage and setup. although i havent moved them to their perm. cages yet thats when i will introduce a live plant
2 times a day feeding . small crickets are primary diet and they eat some meal worms. i have a small dripper but i dont use it all the time.
the cage is fine not on or near vents and i am in northern ky ????
is it really necessary to answer so many questions???
i know how to take care of my animals but i have never had diarrhea type poo and just wanted to know if it was normal or not the urine part of the excriment is white. thats why i wasnt worried i didnt think it was dehydration.
i oidnt mean to seem short but how many of you go through life answering questions with questions?? are you all shrinks!! all kidding aside

Hello and welcome to the Chameleon Forums......a great place to further your chameleon education.

The reason we ask for the health form to be filled out is because allot of the time the chameleon's problem is husbandry issues.

To answer your questions you need to get your chams in separate cages. If together one will become dominate, usually the male and will keep the other from eating and basking properly. They need to bask at about 82 to 85 degrees at that age.

As for the runny poop, it could be a number of things. Have they been checked for parasites? What are you gutloading your crickets with? Mealworms are not good feeders for chams, their hard shell in not easy for a cham to digest, try superworms or silk worms.

and i had them together but they are both in the same size setups. i did not want to freak them out by going to big to fast.
i have not measured basking spot but they get within 3 -5 inches from top and i am using a 60 watt bulb for basking heat i would assume the basking temp would be closer to the high 80's but i will check

oh and i almost forgot i use flukers all in one orange cubes for crickets as well.
working on the pictures i am uploading to photobucket now but i use satellite and it takes a while

I would still fill out the "40 questions".
You already took all this time to post 4 posts in the period of an hour, filling out a questionnaire shouldn't take long.
People can provide informed answers when you give them as much information as possible. If you were sick, wouldn't you discuss with your doctor all the available factors?

I filled this out when I first joined and got very soild responses within minutes. It is much easier for people to provide an informed response if you provide the information in an easy to read format, as opposed to sporadic sentences, where keepers have to pick out the details.

What size crickets are you using? I also whould'nt handle baby veils to often, or at all until settled and feeding. Are they basking under heat source, or have branches to get near heat?

here is the point i answered the important ones but still no response that tells me anything..... so really your saying unless i do exactly what you ask me when i have the question you refuse to answer??? whatever
the person breeze thanks for not being cocky but i will manage without a answer. i dont think there is a major problem because he is eating well and isnt dehydrated... and i understand why you want so much because people buy without researching the needs of a animal, but i am not that person. it seems i won't fit in here and thats cool!!!! i am gonna ask another question in another part of this site and feel free not to try and help me if you posted on this thread!!
