hows it going i got my baby pather lwst monday so just a day more then a werk, he wont eat the pinhead crickets they are very small i even have them in a small feeder cup with some mesh and also some free roaming but he walks right by them and doesnt bother to see whAt they Are, then when i put in a hornworm or dubia roach he will go right after them and take down as many as i put im, if it says 10-12 crickets a day does that mean 10-12 roaches or worms? how can i make him eat crickets? is this bad?

Hi, I had the same thing basically take place with my little guy Tye Dye. It's not a big deal since crickets aren't the best thing for them anyways. The dubias are a far more superior feeder than crickets. I don't even feed mine crickets anymore. He loves the Dubias. Just make sure that you gut load them properly and also dust them daily without D3. HTH

How old is he? Pinheads are awfully tiny for any chameleon that is not a very young baby. They might be too small. Some chameleons don't recognize small food. If you are feeding him hornworms, then he is most likely large enough to be eating small crickets. There is much controversy over whether or not dubias are actually better than crickets. I personally like to give my chameleon as much variety he can get, so don't ditch crickets entirely unless he absolutely refuses them.

he is about 2 moths maybe a little more maybe a little less, would u be able to tell by a picutre? i got him a week ago and they said he was about a month and a half

Please post a pic, and us forum members can do our best to help estimate his age. Please make sure the pics are clear. Here is a pic of mine at 8.1 weeks (the day I got him) and he has already grown 1"+ since than.

A good rule of thumb is to not feed anything larger than the width between the eyes. You can grow the pinheads a little bit to reach an appropriate size if necessary. If you add heat to them, they will grow a little faster.
