Got the wife her first panther chameleon from Frams Chams! She's super excited to get him. They are amazing to deal with and super helpful with EVERYTHING! I'm so glad I chose to do business with them. Now to see what this adventure brings when he comes! Any tips or pointers for us panther newbies would be appreciated!!!

Congrats and welcome!! I have 2 male panthers, one is very social (doesn’t get stressed easily) and the other is a spicy dude lol. I recommend building good trust by interacting everyday to show them you are not a threat. We handle daily for just a few minutes and made an freeroam area outside his cage for enrichment.
2 pothos and a back sliding door to hang them on, always being supervised but they love it. 😊

Post some pics if you can and thanks we're excited to get him

1st Popeye relaxed and happy, his colors most of the time.
2nd Napoleon, one of the few times a year he gets irritated
Last is Popeyes sleeping colors or stressed colors, he’s spicy but we don’t see them often. He throws some yellow and blue when he’s really excited as well but not as bright and not often.

I’ll snap a pic of their enrichment spot and add in a bit.

The green one and the yellow/red one are the same????

Most of the time they are green, unless you make them mad or sleeping. You only get the cool colors consistent when they are growing in usually. Once they are like 1yr they stay green until excitement

He’s gorgeous! You’ve already learned one of the most important things, and that’s to get your chameleon from a reputable breeder. I’m sure they have helped you with any questions and husbandry needs already. I would advise to get some silkworms from them and make them a part of your guy’s varied diet staples. The only other advice I can offer is to keep learning and growing. There is a huge wealth of information here, both in the past posts/archive and in many of the members here. Oh…and do make sure to share pics of your beauty often. 🥰
