My chameleon is sleepwalking! WTF I'M SCARED! HE'S EVEN HISSING WHILE DOING IT! HE'S GOING WILDY ABOUT WITH HIS EYES CLOSED!?

Here is the form, I have never even heard anything like you are describing, are you sure he is asleep, maybe someone awaken him & he is upset?

Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon?
Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders?

Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?

He's stopped for now, he's been on and off, next time he does it I'll check. Here is the form.
Your Chameleon - Veiled, Male, 4-5 months, a few days
Handling - Usually when cleaning the cage he rides on my shoulder.
Feeding - Repashy 3 in 1 and Zoo Med Reptivite to gutload. Crickets and superworms. He has an irregular eating habit, he'll eat alot some times and some times very little. I toss 7 in every day and usually there are a few left I take out at night.
Supplements - Zoo med - Reptivite. Repashy 3 in 1
Watering - I see my chameleon drinking, I mist 4 times a day for 15 seconds with an automatic mister.
Fecal Description - Grey, looks wet.
Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites? No idea.
History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you. He came from the best store in Miami Florida. The store is Snakes At Sunset.
Cage Info: IDK it's freaking huge... it's like 20 gallon length and maybe 5 feet tall.
Cage Type - Screen
Lighting - 12 hrs a day 85 degrees - 100 degrees Fluker's light stand thing then zoo med basking spot lamp in it. UVB light and calcium light.
Temperature - One of those crazy expensive Zoo Med thermometers... 76 degrees to 100 degrees. 70 at night.
Humidity - Crazy expensive bs hygrometer from Zoo Med. 60%
Plants - Many different assorted fake plants.
Placement - Probably about 5 - 6 1/2 feet from ground and by a window that gets alot of light.
Location - Miami Florida

Others have posted about chameleons dreaming, but that seems intense. My 5month ambilobe will occasionally bark and hiss while sleeping, and as far as I can tell he's totally passed out. He sits still when he does it though.

100 degrees seems a bit warm, even for an enclosure that size. I'd suggest knocking that back to 90 max.
Can we ask what sort of lights you are using? Bulb names are important.
I think the situation is important....was it at night when he was already asleep? Did you notice it when the mister went off? was there a dog in the room or a bird flying by?
An extremely agitated chameleon can appear to have its eyes closed (maybe they are) but it's not asleep. I've only seen one of mine do it once. It was when my other chameleon figured out how to get through the half inch gap at the bottom of the barrier separating them...so, came over to join her. She was not happy. She turned brilliant colors (diamond patterns and all!) and rocked back and forth hissing violently. Her eyes looked closed. So, my quick guess is something really scary came into view.

it's 75w and idk he's still doing it on and off but not long enough for me to get vids or pics atm. I'd just prefer him to stop overall...I was so worried!

That's not a bulb name. Seriously, it matters. The wrong light can seriously harm your chameleon. If you don't still have the box, then maybe take a picture of it. That would at least give us something to work with.

Okay, that bulb does not emit UVB which is critical for your chameleon's health. See? I told you it was serious. You need a UVB bulb and you need it now (rather a challenge considering the season).
This board recommends the Reptisun 5.0 fluorescent tube. If you buy the 18 inch, you can get a fixture at WalMart of Home Depot for under $10.

Which Zoo Med bulb do you have (because not all UVB bulbs are created equal).
I honestly don't think the problem you have now is related to the bulb because, as I said, it seems a response to something your chameleon finds scary and threatening.
I would love pictures of your enclosure and the room (not saying you need to post them, just that they would be very illuminating). I'd love to know what other animals (including young humans who might visit occasionally) are in the house.
