Would like to know the sex of my baby Ambilobe Panther

He/she is about 3 months old. He/she is starting to show some green and blue colors. I have tried researching to determine the sex, but he/she is still so little. I have named he/she Reptar in hopes it is a male, if female, she will be Reptara.

ive been thinking female as well, based on what Google has taught me... then I started seeing all the pretty blue and green colors and then switched back to maybe a male. I am not sure if it is still too soon to tell or not. Regardless, it’s exciting!

some females will have a purple or blue shine or their cheeks and some iridescence on their body. But you wont see colored barring or stripes like a male.

can i ask where you bought it? a reputable brreder should be able to give you an idea considering the difference in care between a male and female

I bought him at Repticon when it was in town. I bought him when he was only about 11/2-2 months old. He was selling them for a lot cheaper than the older ones simply because he didn’t know the sex yet. I figured I didn’t mind the surprise, either is good with me. I am just so curious now. All I know is he is a blue bar Ambilobe Panther.

Here are a couple more photos if it helps any.

Looks female to me. At this age it’s a bit hard to tell, so I would just wait a couple months before you confirm the gender. Love the name! I had a gargoyle gecko when I was rlly young and her name was reptar!
