Would like to know of color changing.

This might be a dumb question but I really would like to know something, I have a veiled chameleon of 2 months and I would like to know what colors indicate stress. Sometimes he will try and run from me but still will be a lime green. And even when he puffs up. Sometimes I see him brown and black or light brown all brown colors while basking. I know he changes dark colors to absorb the sun. But why I'm asking this question is because I don't know if he's happy.

usually dark colors like black mean stress. fired up (bright colors) usually appear when excited, angry or happy. but 2 months is kinda early to see many fired up colors.

good luck and enjoy, got my veiled around the same age. He is almost a year now and has been through many changes, was really cool watching him grow.

you should start seeing changes in pattern and color fairly soon, they are really cool to watch. I still notice some changes in my guy but I suppose around 4-6 months is when he really started to show the brighter colors.

also make sure you have all your research on gut loading/feeders and lighting.
Good husbandry is not only essential for a healthy cham but directly affects coloration as well.
