My veiled chameleon is about 7 months old, as of late, he hasnt been eating much or drinking much.....at least i havent observed him doing so. I noticed hes been getting weak, shaky, and isnt climbing. Hes been spending a majority of his time sleeping on the bottom of the habitat. Im extremely worried for him, ive resorted to force feeding him just to try to help him get a little strength back, but if there is anything else i can do to remedy his condition, i most definitely would like to be privy of this knowledge. He is in a vertical mesh habitat, equipped with a drip system as well as a waterfall and plenty of branches and leaves, he has a heat lamp and a day lamp. Ive been making sure to keep the crickets gutloaded well and i do feed him mealworms and superworms as well....i keep about 3 mealworms in the worm bowl ive provided for him so he can take advantage of that, which he has a few times. The temp of his home ranges from about 75 to 85 degrees and is at about 30 to 40 percent humidity. Im on the brink of taking him to a vet, but i was hoping to discover some helpful tips to try out before resorting to bringing him to a vet and stressing him out. I adore my little guy and Any advice to help save my little Houdini is greatly appreciated!
