Worried about Screen enclosure from Terry (in the U.K)

Hi all. I will soon be purchasing a aluminium screen enclosure for my male veiled off of terry thatcher - http://www.crislis.co.uk/thatcher/index.php

I am just a bit worried my veiled my get his nails caught in the screen as he does like to climb around my flexarium Is this often a problem? Also, I am currently using a 10.0 reptisun tube, would this be suitable for this enclosure?

Remind me again how old your Cham is? Usually they like to climb the screen when they are young and slowdown a bit as they get older. My oldest panther has decided he likes to cruz the screen a little. I have not had a problem and have the screen on all my cages.

The reptisun 10 is a little strong for the metal screen enclosure. A reptisun 5 may be a better match as the penetration of the light is a lot easier through the metal mesh. How long have you been using it? It may been close to time to upgrade it or you can always use it for when you get a new Cham for your old cage. you know you are addicted.

Oh hes a bout 9-10 months ill be getting the enclosure in a bout a month or two. The reptisun is comming up to the time it needs to be changed any ways so I think as you say I might get a month or so out of it yet with the new enclosure then ill go ahead and by the 5.0. Thanks

You could line the cage with the plastic chicken wire if you are worried about his nails. Jann

I'm using one atm. There not all that. They are under rated don't get me wrong but I want a real nice snazzy looking one that I can be real proud of lol.
