Worried about my Grabby!

YEAH!! I'm still new so I was keeping my mouth shut!!! But, I've never seen any crickets like THAT before!!?? Glad I wasn't confused!!

Exactly! I ordered 1000 3 week old crickets and look what they sent. Sigh!

Contact the seller immediately and make a claim with Paypal or Visa or whoever you paid through if they don't fix it right away. Who did you order from?

I ordered from Fluker's! I called and left a message because it was after hours when I received the package. They should call me tomorrow. If not, I'll be calling them again. They are meal worms, by the way.

Grabby died. :(

That is very unfortuante news about grabby, There really wasn't much you could do to be honest. it seems she may have been doomed from the start.

I hope you have better luck if you continue to practice chameleon husbandry, just do lots of research in advance, make sure to have a proper set up prior to purchase, and make your purchase from a breeder, there are several places you can get good jacksons chameleons from.

but it may be better to choose a chameleon of a different species.

Yeah. I think I may get a veiled. I don't know. I'm very sad that she passed. She went way down hill today. She was doing okay earlier today and then she got really weak. Totally sucks.

Sorry to hear about her.

I would just like to suggest you do some more reading and get all the supplies ready before you buy another cham. I am sure you learned a lot with all the suggestions in this thread, so please reread and search the forum some more. People with the setup ready to go before the cham arrives seem to have fewer issues.

Sorry to hear that she didn't make it, but I agree she was pretty doomed from the start. For her to have gone downhill that fast she was sick when you got her. I agree with getting all of your supplies(Screen cage, UVB lighting, etc.) together and with getting a Veiled-a nice healthy one from a good breeder-you won't believe the difference when you get a good one!

PLEASE, BEFORE you get another animal, of any type, please make sure you have the money to afford to give them proper medical attention.

Hey there Lyan, as Brad said from the beginning, the animal was too sick. Sorry for your loss.
Now, if you want a veiled. Start your research, i researched for about 1 year before i got mine. even though i studied 1 year, i knew too little. Rethink the buy of the veiled cham.

ITS A VERY GOOD SITE, GOT VERY GOOD INFO.

Before your next chameleon, buy all supply first. Then when everythings running as it should, buy the chameleon (NOT FROM PETSMART)

This site got many sponsors, take a look at them, they are very, VERY good!

Again, sorry for your loss. :(

Btw, could you post on your bearded dragons' housing

Very sorry to hear that, but she was a sick chameleon and it is better this way so she doesnt suffer, all of us here have had trial and error with chameoleons, but this should be a learning experience so that when you do more research your next chameleon wont end up like Grabby
