Worried about my cham

So I have had my cham for about 5 months, he is still growing and about 8 months old. I recently noticed when I took him out of his cage that he was hobbling on his front left claw. He isn't using that claw to grab, and when I noticed I immediately placed him gently back in his cage. What should I do to ensure that he gets well? this makes me sad because I love him :(

Keep an eye on it. He may have caught it on screen or mesh (if he's in a screen cage, or can climb window screens), or on a branch he was climbing on. If it looks like there's damage to the foot/toe/claw, you can gently apply a topical antibiotic (like neosporin, or one of the triple antibiotic creams available over the counter at about any drugstore). If you can post a picture of the foot, maybe somebody else has dealt with something similar.
