worried about bacteria, and mold

Just installed a cool mist humidifier to my enclosure to keep the humidity stable. Getting ready for round two with Jackson neonates.

So here is my concern how long should I run it, and how often should I take it apart and clean it? I kind of wanted to run it at night so as to cool the cage down more. And my mister doesn't run at night so hopefully won't be overdoing it. Or should I just run it all the time, and clean it at intervals?

This is the one I went with.

My chameleon room has one running on low all the time. At night a second one comes on at the low setting also. I clean them weekly with a bleach solution.

That is the kind I use- I got my baby jackson at 2 weeks old and knew nothing and ran it every day 24/7 cleaning the bottom out every other day or so and runing vinagar through it every weekend- I stuck a plastic tube that is about the same thickness as the top and had it so it would go into the cage.
I still know nothing- and I had a scare with a RI at around 3 months - (I'm not sure if she was just opening her mouth a lot at this point she never got to the point of popping or had much in the way of breathing problems) but at that point I stopped running it at night. It had started getting cooler by that time.
I did run it at night on hot nights directed near but not on where she would sleep.
Carl is the expert on babies - my only hint is the tube out the end- it works well for directing the mist and is easy to clean since it isn't attached to anything-

Thanks for the advice guys it was a big help. I got it all hooked up, and my girl already seams to love it. I turned it down to half speed per Carl's advice. The humidity is in the high 80-90% though Think that's too high for a Jackson?
