will this work?

How big and what kind is your cham? Usually a 40watt housebulb will work for heat. I am in colorado so it gets cold in the winter months so I use a regular 40watt heat bulb for mine. If it is to warm you can burn your cham..

edit--- also how big is your enclosure?

Well I would use a 40watt house or heat bulb... You want your basking temps anywhere between 80-85 and about 10 degrees cooler during the night. Are you using a uvb bulb also?

Id monitor the temps carefully with that, it might get way too hot for a little guy because they dont seem to thermoregulate as well as older chams

it really depends on the distance from the bulb rather than the wattage. try different wattage bulbs to get the proper basking temp at the spot directly under the light. Since it is a young veiled, I would aim for the low 80s at the basking spot.
