will she change???

Hello there! Might want to fill out the "How to ask for Help" questionnaire. Not sure what the link is, but I'm sure someone after me will post it. How old is she? Do you have pictures of her you could post? What is your setup's dimensions, and can you describe it for me? What kind of lights are you using? Is she in a busy room or a quiet room?

Maybe a couple monghs i think she is about maybe 4 inches from head to tip of tail so im really not sure i tried posting a pic but it wont pull up on my droid :(

Ummmm i dont think any thing is wrong with her at all i and im not askung if anything is wrong with her just wanted to know do most veiled stay green or do they eventually get colors.... as i stated in the question above

I'm sorry, I misinterpreted your question :) I thought you meant yours wasn't! Females typically stay green, they can turn various darker shades of brown and greens when hunting or upset. When they reach maturity, the females sometimes have bluish or yellow speckles.

Ok so the males are usually brighter and have diffrent color variations than females??? Like ur avatar photo is tht a male then? I have seen her change to a dark purple with bright pink speckles but only when she is basking :)

That's my young male in the pic! Yes, the males have a much brighter, more variety of coloration. As you can see he has stripes. Females stay more of a solid base coloration. Mine has turned almost a blue color when she basks in the sunlight, but other than that they don't change drastically. They are very pretty in their own way :)

Yea females at most will look like this, which I actually think is much prettier than the male veileds but that's just me.

Females are not nearly as colorful as males, but the next 6 months are the most important for her color development. You should see her get a little more shades of green and brown, with possibly a little yellow. Her diet, and the lighting in her cage will also have alot to do with how well she colors.

@ Olimpia...That is the most beautiful female veiled I've ever seen.

Thank you! All veiled females will get these colors, how bright and beautiful they look will depend on the things you already do, like provide good husbandry, thorough gutloading and diet, and if you can, lots of natural sunshine. She always got brighter when we were outside, like in this photo.
