Will my male veiled be my friend again?

I have a 3 month old male veiled named Larry. We used to be friends. I didn't handle him often but when I did(to clean cage, etc) he would walk right onto my hand. When I would feed him he would wait by his feeder cup(sometimes I would have to nudge him out of the way to get crickets in his cup). 3weeks ago he got a resp.infection and I had to give him antibiotics orally for 2 weeks. He hated it. I had to fight with him every morning to get him his medicine. Since then, he hides whenever he sees me. When I tried to move him into his temp cage so I could clean he ran and hissed at me. Will he come back around, or will he always hide from me now. I don't expect to handle him alot but it sucks that he always hides at the sight of me.

He will probably get better, but some won't every get really friendly. Make a point to make sure he sees you putting his food in his cage so he'll associate you with happy things not torture.

When males get to be juveniles they become territorial and start to become "manly". They do a lot of color changes, just trying everything out. Continue to be non-threatening. It may be several months before he will let you be friendly with him, maybe never. I make friends with mine. Once you pick them up they strt climbing around you again because they are out of their territory.

For some reason non of my males want to be friendly. When they were babies they were friendly, then as they started getting older they started gaping and hissing. Now I'm at the point where none of my mature veileds want anything to do with me.

Buy him a tree or a big plant and give him some play time on his tree out of the cage. Normally they are much nicer once out of the cage.
