Yes I really recommend you do not smoke near him if at all possible. Try to avoid it, as with humans it can lead to respiratory problems.

And no not unless you have the TV glaring into its cage. If there isn't much light going into the cage it shouldn't be a problem

Both baddies. Smoke will cause the chameleon to get respiratory issues and possible deformities. When we were getting pummeled by fires, I had to close all the windows so my chameleon would not smell the smoke. Also, if you're watching TV at night, put a blanket over the enclosure so you don't bother him.

BTW, chams have little or no sense of smell. The smoke, from a wildfire or cigarettes, will damage its respiratory tract just as it would a human's. The build up of tar and nicotine residues will have the same health hazards it does for humans.

They sense low frequency vibrational type noise. If you turn the tv or an amp up with a heavy bass it could disturb him. The flickering light from the tv screen could keep him awake, but once he's sound asleep probably not. I'd still rig some sort of sheet or towel over the cage side facing the tv. It's a simple enough thing to do.

Yea I had to adjust my smoking habits when I got Koopa. I went from open window to not smoking in the room at all. This was a crazy adjustment for me because I rely on my plants but his heath was more important than my enjoyment! I watch TV with him all the time, he sleeps good, TV is a 42" LCD in a medium sized room. No issues. He usually curls up next to some leaves that shade the light mostly. Hope this helps

I also have a recording studio with studio monitors. Here is the link for that thread, https://www.chameleonforums.com/chameleons-music-74180/ You can get an idea of what speakers I use , I usually don't blast them but I have seen him sleep thru some recording sessions with no problems.
