Will a humidifier work?

i spent 200 on each of my misting systems and would never go back a humidifier is ok for humidity but you need the cham to be able to drink so aas long as you run a dripper alot you would be fine im sure and hand mist when you can at leats a cople times a day anyway

I havent had much luck with humidifiers lasting longer than a winter season. the cool mist ones cake everything in the rooms with stuff unless you use distilled ($$$), and the evaporative ones turn into petri dishes or just cake over. I ended up with a cheap mister made out of a bug sprayer that could have the handle locked on. Fill with warm water, pump 5 times, i get about 5min of spray that SOAKS the cage. I run it again when i get home. They can be hooked up to the same nozzles has the $200 real misters.

In the short answer, no.
A humidifier keeps it humid, a mister... well mist. You can't drink humid air, you can drink mist that accumulates and forms droplets.
So a humidifier a few feet from the cage isn't bad to maintain humidity but you will need a dripper or to mist a few times a day with a misting bottle.
You can also try the big pesticide containers from home depot.
Obviously make sure it has NEVER had pesticides in it, and buy it new and make sure it doesn't look returned. They work great to get a nice fine mist over your entire cage and it normally won't scare your cham like a jet stream from some misting bottles.

Humidifiers are great for slowing down evaporation rates in cham cages indoors. They can help prevent dehydration and bridge the humidity gap between misting/spraying cycles. They don't really replace misting, just reduce how often you might have to do it.
