I think it's fine to let her eat as much plant matter as she wants to.
Cutting back food is easy, you just have to be tough
All the females are pigs!
If you are getting temperatures close to 80 without the basking light, then you don't need it until you want to warm her up to encourage receptivity.
The basking bulbs I use over my females are 15 watt or 25 watt household bulbs, whichever achieves 80 degrees at the top of the enclosure.

Sorry Cheeky I did not think me girl was going to cause this reaction. I think she is. But as you can see I am not the best at determining colors.
It's Ok No worrys Teresa! I'll just keep an eye on her, and see if she gets any other colours!

We did do a bit of a hijack here, but I felt like the opportunity to put this info out there again was worth it.
I do not think the colors on your female indicate anything specific ... I am going with maturity as well.
