JamesBryan Member Oct 8, 2015 #2 Sometimes it's when they are too hot, so they do it to expel heat. Other times it's linked to respiratory problems. If it's only on the odd occasion then I would say it's heat related.

Most of my panthers yawn first thing in the morning, swallow a little just before the first cricket of the day. However, you are correct, usually overheated.
