Who made this cage?

Dodolah, That was you that emailed us at Beeger Boxes? You should have told me i could have seen what i could do for you. Give me another call. My hubby is designing another one that will be even better. And the reason they are so expensive guys is because it almost looks like a piece of furniture that you can display your beautiful cham in. How much do you pay for the animal? Why just put them in a plain screen cage? They are all hand-made and the wood has 3 coats of poly on each piece. I think i might be able to get the shipping for less. Hubby just flipped when i shipped out a cage that day and we use to pay 55 and paid 98 instead. We are currently checking out other shipping methods. I just spoke with hubby their was a mistake on the shipping, we shipped that one second day, the shipping is not that much. He is sending you another email

The tray is vacuum formed out of ABS plastic.

If you have limited wood working skills, you could cut 2 pieces of MDF (medium density particle board availible at Home Depot or Lowes) and glue them together to make a mold to vacuum form over. You could even have Home Depot cut it for you if you dont have saws :)

I dont know of any vacuum formers in Simi, but I would check with your closest plastic supplier. Having parts vacuum formed is very inexpensive (20-40$) and additional parts would be even cheaper once they have done the setup.

For such a simple part the vacuum former might even make the form for you for a small cost.

Good Luck!

I can make these

If there is enough interest to make it worth it, i can make these for any of the cage on the market. I have the know-how and equipment. I could even make them with built-in drains and support.

How many of you would want them, and what would you pay for them? (honestly)

I would be interested in a 24 X 24 to fit my LLL cage. I would pay 29.95 plus shipping (hopefully not more than $10.00) for the pan.

for 28"X18". Since it's custom size, i'll be willing to pay more (but no more than 75 bucks (since, i have figured out a way buy using a big plastic bin cover).
:D

Howdy Shawn,

That's great! But before you get started, check-in with Chad (VegasChad) and Jason Creager (Herpmist) (aka - LaserGecko). They've been headed down the path of getting something produced and maybe you guys can team-up etc. :).

Part of their efforts:

How about fiberglass ? ive maid some sweet subwoofer boxes as smooth as sheet metal out of it. cost would be very low for materials.

Glass is way too labor/time intensive. with a vacuum forming machine, you could pull 1 part every 4-5 minutes (faster once you get the settings nailed and production set up), another few minutes to trim the part and your done.
