White substance around nose

I have noticed that my veiled cham constantly has a white substance around his nose. I have been reading up on that and figure it is due to too much calcium. He eats 12-15 medium size crickets and day that are dusted with calcium w/o d3. The crickets are gut loaded with Fluckers high calcium food and different veggies. I keep reading that I should be dusting every feeding but wondered if I should dust every other feeding? I see where some people are doing that but want to make sure that is correct before I switch to every other day?

No, keep dusting everyday. It is not calcium but salts or minerals he is expelling through his nostrils.

Ok thanks Carol! FYI Thanks for all your help. You have given me a lot of advice in this learning process. I know I've asked a lot of dumb questions but just want to make sure I'm doing everything correctly!

agree that it is more likely salts from nostrils. may

be its the sodium in the fluckers.

Consider more water

consider not using the fluckers (if its the one I'm thinking of, its mostly grains, animal protein products, molasses)

oh you are so welcome! I am glad to help and I asked a lot of stupid questions too(still do sometimes lol) when I first got a chameleon. Don't hesitate to ask something because you think it is "dumb".
