White stuff on leaves of live plant

My schefflera plant has some white stuff on its leaves. Is this mildew or pee?

Hard to tell without a picture. There is a type of insect that looks like white fuzzy spots.

Looks like mineral deposits from the water and maybe some calcium powder.

I agree with jajeanpierre. Looks like hard water build up on some of the leaves. You can clean them with a dilute vinegar solution to see if it will come off. It's a good idea to clean your plant leaves from time to time anyway as part of your cage cleaning.
