White Strand From Vent

Woke up this morning to find my new panther having a wee and a poop but had a long white strand from his vent. I got some tissue and gently removed it without pulling. What was it?

Was it a sperm plug?

Could be, it looked dry. Not sure of my panthers age though, what age do they start producing sperm plugs?

Mine started at about 5-6 months, the youngest. The boy in my avatar is about a year and a half now and makes at least one a day! I'm starting to feel bad for the guy! Maybe I should get him a girlfriend sooner than I planned.

I think mine was producing them at around six months of age. I saw one of those little white strands also. The first time I saw one I thought it was a worm. It never moved though, and I gently pulled on it and it was a sperm plug. The part hanging out was thin and dry and when I removed it, there was sperm on the end of it. I have seen this a few times. Usually he wipes it on a branch or something or when he poops sometimes one will come out. Nothing to worry about as long as it doesn't look alive!!!

Thanks for the replies, didn't know they could produce sperm plus at a young age, I know sebastian doesn't have colour yet and is mostly brown with a hint of dark green along his back.

Freaked me out when I saw it lol

Yeah, its coming upto 4 weeks since I ordered. The online shipping tracker last updated at "Item has left Canada" on 2nd September. Hopefully shouldnt be too much longer now.
