White dust?

So, I have a new juvenile veiled Chameleon. She's a lovely female, who eats a lot and is very friendly. She ate out of my hand like the first day I got her. I've been taking her outside for the past two days for about 20 minutes at a time. I'm Looking for a tree for her so I can keep her outside longer without her climbing on my hand the whole time.
ANYWAY. This morning she looks like someone's dusted her with white stuff on her back ridge and other places. It might be flakes- but I'm partly blind so to me it just looks like white stuff. I fed her Calcium dusted crickets yesterday- but I don't think it's the calcium.
I thought it was a shed, but I read that they shed in one piece most of the time- is this correct. Could it be a shed? If not, what could It be?

Looks likes shes shedding... no worries.

Oh good- So, I was going to take her out for some sun today, but should I leave her alone? She seems in a pretty good mood, and is still eating very well. What do you reccomend ? Can I help her shed easier somehow?

Whatever you do, DON"T leave her outdoors on a tree or bush without watching her like a hawk! A cham can disappear a lot faster than you realize. They will NOT stay in one spot if they can see larger trees close by. If you want to take her outdoors, use a cage or enclose a bush with netting that is too small for her to squeeze through. We hear too many sad stories about lost chams every year. Better safe than sorry!!

About easing a shed...correct humidity and warm water showers will help the most. When chams are very small and growing fast they can shed so fast you don't notice and the shed tends to be in larger pieces. As they get older the shed can be slower and in patches (legs, tail, head, portions of the back) that don't all happen at once. Areas of the body where the skin isn't as flexible tend to take longer, like on their casque and face. Moving skin tends to work off the shed more quickly. Sheds are a part of life, so they may look miserable and itchy for a short time. but they get over it.

Oh goodness, don't worry. I have a screened in porch, and I wanted to get a tree to put her in out there O.O I have a bearded dragon also, and he's a little runaway. I just got him a harness so we can go on walks. For now, considering I don't have a safe tree -everything here is oak, and it was fine to use branches, but she tries to eat the oak leaves, and I read they were toxic to them. I'm going to find a fake tree and clean it very well, until I can afford like a Hybiscus or something.

She's kind of sheding in big flakes- does that mean she could be stressed, sense it's not in one piece?

Ah, OK. A screen porch is great! A fake tree would work great there as you don't have to worry about perfect light for a live tree. Silk leaved fakes are easy to clean...I just hose the dust off. Just watch the basket or whatever they have the tree mounted in. It might not want to get wet and they may cover the base of the tree with dried moss...don't let your cham chew on that or eat it.
Shedding in big flakes is fine.
