The care of a bearded dragon does not really compare to the care of a chameleon as a bearded dragon is a relatively strong animal and will likely not show the signs of improper care until later age and their early demise is then often blamed on inbreeding.
So please do your proper research regardless of your experience, chameleons are way more sensitive to improper supplementation and UVB so it's important you take care of that properly, use the right supplementation and replace lamps in time.
On this site in the resource section you will find caresheets with proper instructions so it's advised to know them be heart.
On to your question!
The most common kept species of chameleon and the most tolerable are.
- Veiled chameleon
- Panther chameleon (in any variation you can find em)
Going from your profile picture I'm assuming your preference is the jackson's chameleon.
In my opinion this is also a doable first timer chameleon. It's a montane species so it will need slightly cooler temperatures and a big temperature drop at night. It's also more sensitive to supplements so you need to keep that in mind. Also I'm talking about the xantholophus here, it's the most tolerable and common one of the 3 subspecies.
