where is the best place to put the dripper?

i just got a dripper and am setting up a drain tomorrow and was wondering where is the best spot to put the dripper? on the side where the basking light is or on the opposite side? does it even matter. thanks.

i always put mine in a spot where the basking bulb wont heat up the water to much and put it in a spot where the water will drip and fall through the leaves. Ive found that much more effective.

not that much.
I put mine away from the light in case the water flood the top and cause electrical hazards

the dripper should def be above a plants, so that the drips accumulate on the leaves, where the cham can easily go to get a fresh drink when taking a break from basking
