When to separate chameleons

Hello folks! how are you? I was just curious as to how old you can keep a male and female veiled together before you have to separate them. Is it alright to introduce a female to a male and keep them together for a bit when they are about 6 months old? thank you!

I vote strongly no. I let my 2 together long enough to clean up the cages and now I have fertile eggs incubating.

No unless you want them to end up breeding they should be separated

Welcome to the forums. Veileds should be separated around a month old if not before. It's definitely not ok to keep them together at 6 months old.

I was just curious because she seems like shes not even producing eggs yet so i thought they wouldnt try to breed at that age
