I spend a lot of time in my chameleon room checking them all the time. Well, I just got back from the reptile store (I found some 3/4" crickets) and there were 13 eggs on the floor of my female carpet's cage. This makes the 3rd batch of eggs from one mating. I have no way of telling if they are fertile or not. I tried to reintroduce her to the male since it had been 3 1/2 months since her last clutch and she wanted NOTHING to do with him. Obviously. If she's going to keep laying eggs, perhaps I should introduce him in a couple of weeks. Looks like she's going to lay no matter what I do.
Anyone else keep carpets out there? Darn eggs take 9-12 months to hatch. My first eggs are from January So I still have a long ways to go. No instant gratification from carpets, that's for sure.
