As said, as long as the feeders are nutritious and appropriately sized, it would be fine to feed him whatever. My little guy goes nuts for Black Soldoer Flies, the adult form of Phoenix/repti/calci worms.

agree with all the above - variety from day one is the way to go.

you could consider offering: small butterworms, small silkworms, pheonix worms (black soldier fly maggots), baby superworms (in moderation), terrestrial isopods (captive bred), cockroach nymphs (captive bred), small termites, small indian walking stick bugs....

waxworms are not a very good feeder prey option, as they are high in fat. once you've used up what you bought, dont buy more for awhile. Butterworms are better, so its good that your local store will be able to get those in future.

But as with all larva foods, you can place on a vine or branch or in a bowl. The waxworms should be somewhat lively, moving, and able to cling onto branches for awhile.

As your chameleon hasnt had much for prey choices to date, it may take a bit before he realizes the waxworms are food. You could put a waxworm or two in a bowl with his crickets, to help with association.

Alright cool thanks for the info :D I knew one of the worms they could eat was high in fat I jus couldn't remember which one
