Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Veiled and she has been mine from a baby and she is about 6 months old.
Handling - Not much, my wife handles her sometimes and she likes her and hates me ha ha.
Feeding - We feed her crickets that are gut loaded on calcium dust as well as spinach leaves or lettuce. We also feed her superworms and she LOVES those ha ha.
Supplements - We use the Fluckers Calcium dust
Watering - I have a dripper, I spray her cage with luke warm water multiple times a day and my wife gives her water from a baby (no needle) feeding syringe and she loves that.
Fecal Description - She is nice and green and still shows patterns when she's upset. Right now her chin is peeling. We haven't had her tested because the only herpetologist in town killed my last Cham...
History - She's always been active and hungry with normal sleeping spots, habits and times. Now she is not sleeping, eating or drinking... Just sits around.
Cage Info:
Cage Type - I have an all mesh cage that is 48x24x24 from DIYCages.com.
Lighting - I have a Repti-Glo 5.0 fluorescent fixture above the cage and then about a foot and a half away from her basking spot is a 100w heat lamp that gets her spot about 85 degrees.
Temperature - Her basking spots are about 80-85 and at night from 72-75.
Humidity - Her levels stay from 60-80 depending on when I've sprayed. I keep it up by spraying her plant and her. I also take her out to my patio from time to time and let her sit in a plant similar to the one in her cage while I spray her for like 30 minutes.
Plants - I use a live plant and it's a dracena plant. It's a safe plant.
Placement - I have her cage in a little room by the kitchen. It's by two big windows that I leave the shades open so she can get some extra natural light and keeps the temps a little higher than the rest of the house. It is a decently used room so she isn't away from us but we don't bother her.
Location - South Texas.
Current Problem - She use to be active and ate and drank often. She also use to have very normal sleeping patterns. Now all of the sudden she isn't eating or sleeping very much if at all and she sits at the bottom of her cage. Other's thought she was about to lay eggs and I've tried the big laying bin the way that I was instructed by others on this forum and she isn't interested at all. Also, she looks like she's peeling but it's just her chin that is peeling and it's been a few days. Usually she peels like crazy all day and she's done in like 2 days tops. Can anyone help me? I'm going to take her to a new vet that was recommended to me at around 3:45 today... But I figured I could ask on here too ha ha.
