Ive read some post about which is the best water to use for the mist king and my chameleon in general. Is it safe to use tap water with reptisafe? Or should I be getting distilled water or RO (reverse osmosis?) water? If distilled water where can you purchase? Whats the process with RO water, how is it done and is there devices to buy to change tap water into RO water?

People usually buy gallons of filtered water or just use tap.
Using a filter would probably work too. I doubt you'd have much of an issue with tap besides mineral buildup which is I'm assuming what you're worrying about. In that case, go with any kind of filtered water.

U can just leave the water over nite and I've been told that gets rid of some of the minerals. I do it this way and I don't get any residue build up at all

Tap is ok if your water is good enough. Do some testing of it to see how much calcium and other chemicals are in it. My tap water here in Minnesota is great and not causing any issues at all. Very low in calcium and not hard at all.
