What would you do in this situation?

What i would do is to be nice to her and her son.
Ask how they enjoy the show and what a cute chameleon she got for her son.
Then tell her that the chameleon is gravid and about to lay eggs to initiate a conversation.
Then, hand her some care sheet, or a business card size paper with info and links to resource website such as this forum and many others.
And hope for the best.

That's kind of what started to happen with one of us. But then the opportunity was lost and the mother and daughter walked on to another display.

I would love to have a business card that is downloadable from this forum regarding this forum. On the opposite side, we as forum members can offer these people our email address or phone number if if seems like the right thing to do. At the very least, we can just pass out the cards.
