what watt size bulb should i get?

1 month old veiled cham. should i just use a normal household bulb with a deep dome then go to a reptile bulb once hes older?

A house bulb is fine, you don't ever need a reptile bulb unless you want to.

The watt depends on the basking temperature... should be around 80.

If it stays warm in your house you might not need a basking light at all for a one month old. You do need a temp. gun. It's very important to be able to check their temps. I have a section in my blog linked below about lighting. There's also a section about plants. I just saw your other thread asking about plants.
