what type of soil????

I just finished a new cage (hopefully I'll get pics soon), and I need a TON of soil for it(8 cubic feet) but I'm not sure anymore on which to use. I know to use organic only. I've been using supersoil for several years now, and I'm just wondering what everyone else uses/suggests.

If you mean soil for laying eggs, i think most people use either damp sand or some organic potting soil (no fertilizer/pesticides). I've had luck with organic potting soil. Anything here should be damp enough to hold a tunnel shape, but not totally soaked.

If you mean soil for a substrate, its probably a good idea to avoid having a substrate.

If you mean soil for your plants, then organic potting soil with no fertilizer, and no pesticides, and probably none of those little white moister holding thingys either.

I mean potting soil/substrate.
The entire base of the cage is made to actually be a planter box. Yes, I know the dangers of a soil substrate. I sift, and There are several ways to keep the chams from getting at it(such as a layer of large pebbles, or possibly even a layer of some sort of non-toxic moss/grass), however, in 6 years of keeping my current cham, I've had absolutely no trouble/issues with the exposed potting soil substrate that I currently use.(he freeranges from a large ficus in a 2.5' diameter pot with exposed soil)
