Hey guys I have a female that is about 13 weeks old I am feeding her pin heads at right now but she is going through them like there is not tomorrow should I continue with the pin heads or maybe move to 1/2 She has eatin a half size before when i first brought her home but then I went smaller any ideas

Why did you decide to go to pinheads after knowing she was eatting the 1/2 sized crickets?

At 13 weeks our veiled was taking medium sized prey, not sure what that works out to over there.

A rule of thumb is, the prey size should be no bigger than the size of the space between their eyes, that way you generally know it will go down their throats :)

Try her of a range of foods too, get in some silk worms and house flies :D She'll love them

Honestly Im not sure why I did just though it would be best but I will go back to 1/2 size or medium how many to you feed her a day

Baby veileds will eat a lot at this age :D 8-10 crickets was a normal day for Peanut at about that age

Are you sure your cham is a girl? and What do you suppliment the food with?

yes i am sure we have a female I am using rep cal vitemin d3 ( what I was told to use) have any other Ideal

You should be feeding 8-10 crix a day until 6 months then start cutting her back. To control egg production in females. Also buy some calcium without d3 and use that! You should have a schedule of supplementation. Calcium without d3 should be used primarily and w/d3 should be used 2 times a month.

You should be dusting the crickets before you feed them to her. The schedule should be:
1x/mo Herptivite
2x/mo calcium with D3
the rest of the days calcium only.

I like to do the herptivite on the first day of the month.

Cool, so you have a female, they require a little more care then males. You dont need to worry too much at the moment but in a few months time you will.

Do a search for 'Raising a female veiled' There is a really good web site, but im not sure of the link at the moment.

Your suppliments need to be looked at now though.
She should be given pure calcium 6 days a week, and a multivitamin with D3 twice a month.
They can OD on D3 so please dont use what you have been given every day!

Someone who can tell you all this info with more knowledge will be around soon to reply :D
