What the heck is this??

Found several of these running around my Dubia bin. They’re tiny! Not pictured here is what looks like multiple hair-thin legs (my iPad takes pretty garbage pictures). I hope these aren’t mites..

I purchased my dubias from dubiaroaches.com.

The pics are kind of blurry, but they could be dermastid larvae. You can Google it to see. They help eat all of the dead bodies, but can eat roaches and eat through the bin if they don’t have enough to eat. I usually put one per bin and freeze then toss the rest.

Sorry about that! I kept trying to get my iPad’s camera to focus, but it just wouldn’t cooperate with me. I Googled dermastid larvae and it most definitely is that.

Looks like a dermestid too me as well, I have them as well. Great clean up crew, but make sure they have food to eat as well, or they will eat molting roaches
Nice, glad they‘re clean up crew and not mites! They’ve been grubbing on the dubia gutload.
