What the heck are these?!

Sorry for the crappy photo, taken through a magnifying lens. These little white things are all over this piece of Morning Wood in my isopod bin. I thought they were babies, but then I do have lots of actual isopod babies and these are different. Any idea?

Yeah they're pretty unavoidable, they tend to bloom with excess food laying around and then will disappear. They mainly bother things like snails and more sensitive roaches by crawling over them. They don't hurt anything directly though.
