What should the humidity be in a container of veiled eggs?

I have eggs in vermiculite that I squeezed out until there was no water dripping out. I'm curious as to what the humidity should be for them though inside the Tupperware containers? That way I'll know when I should add a little more water in the vermiculite. Also when you add water, do you just put drops on the outside edge all around the container?

Yes..when you add water just add it around the edges. If you only take the lid off for a few seconds when you check the eggs periodically there should be no need to add water...if you don't have big holes in the container/lid.

I never measure the humidity. There are always beads of moisture on the insides of the container and underside of the lid in mine.

I don't usually have to add any....but I would only add it if there was no moisture beads on the walls or the underside of the lid or if the eggs were denting in.

Be aware that the eggs shrink and dent near hatching time though...and I wouldn't add it if that's what was happening.
