this is the sire of my cham, i was told he is an Ankify, but im not totally convinced...

what you all think?

Isn't ankify a sort of sub locale to ambanja? I meen isn't ankify a island/ place near ambanja so some class them as the same locale but others say there separate?
Like sirami is to ambilobe?

Ankify is right next to Ambanja and they do look similar in appearence, however, the one pictured is definately Ambanja and not Ankify. Also, here in Europe that particular colour is known as blue diamond.

I thought Ambilobe were more green with red or blue bars, but now theres tons of variations!

don't the "Blue Diamond" Panther have fading bars towards the top of the back..

I believe they are Ambato Panther.

I was making a point with the Ambilobe quote, theres tons of variations of all locales and with people calling them all sorts of things its difficult to know for sure what is what, especially with the less known locales. I always thought blue diamond was the designer name for Ambato, but apparently theyre blue diamond ambanja. I stick with what I say, the OP pic is an Ambanja, not Ankify, that much I do know as I used to keep Ankify.

Yea, it all becomes a huge jumble of poo!! lol

Especially with the "Ambanja" type locals. Eespecially with how wide a range of colors and baring the Ambanja Locale can produce.

If his dame was ambilobe then hes not pure, So basically what you have is a cross. A really nice cross, but a cross locale pardalis none the less. Too bad hes not pure, you'd have a really good start on a breeding project.

To be honest mate, Lilly exotics were one of the most respected panther breeders in the uk before they packed up shop!!!! This is my ambilobe from them, he's 6 months old
