i will be getting a veiled chameleon and probably male and i am probably get a 30 in long 18 in wide and 30 in tall screen enclosureHelps us to know what type of cham and what your doing for an enclosure.
okay thank you so much for your help, i will look into them !Your going to want a 30 inch fixture. You will find most people go with a quad for this length of cage because the bulbs come in a 22inch length for a 24 inch fixture. So in the quad the bulbs are staggered back and forth. You would use 1 10.0 uvb bulb and 3 6500 daylight bulbs. Here is a link to the fixture... Since it has one reflector panel you will use the higher rated uvb bulb. Uvb bulb is place in the farthest position outside edge for the best reflection.

As far as heating... Use a regular incandescent household bulb start with like a 60watt and check your temps.
Buy this to anchor to your cage. Drill holes in the plate to attach it to the cage. This will allow you to lift the heat bulb up off the cage which lowers thermal burn risk.

okay thank you that helps.Let me know if you have questions. This is the exact fixture I use... This is how I have mine set up. You want your basking level to be no closer then 7-8 inches with this set up to get correct UVB levels at basking.
