What light n fixture setup should I have with my 5 foot cage?

As some of you know, I'm busy building my new 5' cham cage. What fixture and bulbs should I outfit it with? Maybe a double 24" fixture with 2 reptisun 10.0 bulbs? Anyone ever thought of sidemounting a florescent on a cage? Any ideas?

i think 1 Linear reptisun 5.0 and 1 incandescent bulb is good enough.
I'm guessing your chameleon is a veiled (as your avatar)?

Yes it is, a female veiled. The reason I was thinking a 10.0 bulb is that it reaches up to 24", versus the meager 12" of a 5.0. With my cage being 5 foot tall, wouldn't I need that extra foot?

I used 12" 5.0 reptisun for my 50" height cage and have no problem.
It seems that whenever he need to bask in uvb, he would climb up to bask.
I would guess that he has some instinct to detect UVB ray.

You might be fine using a 10.0 as long as you put them in correct location.
I honestly don't see the necessity to have 2 reptisun 10.0.
That seems to be a bit overkill.
too much uvb can also be bad.

I should probably just run by Home Depot and pick up a 24" fixture? Although I really dont think they sell them that small...any ideas?
