What kind of pygmy is this?

I got 2 new pygs and ended up with this one. It is not a bearded. The little "beard" seems to be on it's nose instead of chin and the tail is thick. Can anyone give me any info on this? also, male/female? I don't suppose it will mate with a bearded, huh?

Sorry for the poor quality of the pic, it was taken through the terrarium glass.

Also, how do you keep the glass clean? We have a lot of minerals in our water in Florida and would hate to ruin the glass. I like to look at my little ones.

I suspect it's a Rhampholeon temporalis because of the lack of tubercles above the eyes and the rostral looks like an injury. Can you get a better pic, not through the glass? It is definitely a male and can't be kept with the brevicaudatus.

I used vinegar to clean my glass pygmy enclosures.

Exactly. It's a nice Rhampholeon temporalis male. You can keep them like brevicaudatus, they like much water and they stay normally close to the ground

You can buy distilled water from the grocery store and just fill your squirt bottle (or w/e misting tank you have) up with it...it won't leave spots.

I believe Chameleons northwest has/had a tank with both brevs and temporalis.

I like my temporalis better than my brevs personally... :) I dont have any males though... ;) wink wink!

You can use a razor blade to scrape the spots off the glass. You can buy the flat blades with a holder in most dollar stores.
