What kind of chameleon [thoughts?]

I was at a local pet store in Mississauga, Ontario...I have these three pictures, I know it will be hard to determine what locale it is from, but try and give me your thoughts!

-it was labeled as a panther chameleon
-wild caught (good or bad?)
-cheap priced compared to other panthers I've seen (not sure why)

It's kind of hard to tell in the pictures, but I'm pretty sure it's a male, asd the female in the same enclosure wasn't showing any colour like this cham...

I know it's tough to see much from the pictures as it was kind of dark in the enclosure..but it was a pale red, with darker (pale black) stripes. It also showed some pale greens..

Any idea?

Thanks!

Looks like a male, wild caught means a vet visit as soon as possible to check for parasites and such, cheap..... maybe is wild caught?

Others will give more opinions.... My opinion comes from a newbie....

if you are in canada looking for a nice cham i would try either Harry @ chroma chameleons, or Tamara & Drew at chamnation. they are all great breeder with amazzing animals and are also site sponsors,

I've seen them at the reptile show, very nice stuff!

This one looks really cute, and has a nice price on it..just not sure what locale it's from!

It has a lower price because it is a wild caught one and was not raised in captivity and may have a disease or not get used to living in captivity and become stressed.

That's a female chameleon.

I'll echo what has been said already; if this is your first ever chameleon go with a nice captive bred animal. They are far easier to deal with. If you can wait there is a big show coming up in September in Mississauga and there will be a huge amount of CB animals to choose from.
