What is this?

He's about 2 years old and whatever this is recently grew right above his nostril. I'm not too sure what this is and was wondering if it's a bad sign and I should take him to the vet?

Take a toothpick & gently try to see if it comes off, it might just be a salt deposit! Gently! If it isn't I would take him to a vet!

I don't think that's a salt deposit, it looks pink and almost fleshy in the picture. All the pictures of salt deposits I've seen, it looks like a white crust or powder.

So i tried to pull on it with tweezers very softly and it started bleeding from the tip. But only a few drops of blood. I'm very worried :( although it hasn't changed in appearance at all. I should definitely take him to the vet right??

Yes!

Not dumb at all. I have a small bird transport cage that I use. I put a cloth in the bottom and a branch wedged(so it's secure) in it for him to hold on to and I cover it with a hand towel so he doesn't stress. Others have used a small rubbermaid bin with air holes and the same stuff inside. Also I have seen people say they use a foam cooler with air holes. With foam you can push a branch into it to secure it for them to ride on. Just make sure if you put a branch in whatever it is that it is secure.

Thank you very much! I wish i was able to hear from people who have seen this before. But thanks.

This doesn't seem like something very common, I've never seen it before. But since it looks to be some kind of a growth, and especially since it bled a bit, I wouldn't hesitate to take him into the vet.
