ok post more later... I really can not tell if that is a pool of blood under the surface or if it is a wound. But I am not seeing swelling which is really good. or weird discoloration.

Here’s some more. It looks more like a cut or something now but isn’t bleeding

She was not thrilled to be looked at. Would not keep still but I got some ok photos. She ended up running up my arm and onto my head. I let her back into the cage after that

Now that I can see it more clearly, it looks like an insect was nibbling on her. Do you ever have insects free in the cage?

I don’t free range insects anymore, some do escape from their feeding container but they can’t get up to her when she is on her basking branch

Yep! I’ll do that thanks for the help! It does not seem to bother her. She moves so quickly now compared to when I first got her, she’s a spicy little thing

Spicy Nachito!! You can keep bits of veggies on the floor of the cage so the bugs eat that instead of nibbling on her.

Annnnnd I’m back with another question. So if u haven’t seen my other threads, I got a cam for Nachitos cage. Well I was watching her today and thought this would be the best thread to ask the question as it’s health related.

So I was watching Nachito for a little bit over the cam and I noted that I though was her closing her eyes for a period of time. It freaked me out, so I’ll link some videos (sorry for the low quality). Do u think she’s not feeling well or maybe she’s just reaction to the light?


And here she seems to start off with her eyes close then opens them near the end


What do you guys think?

It looks like she is actually rolling the eye. They will do this when they clean them too. If you see her closing for periods of time then it is a cause for concern but short periods of 10-15 seconds is not something I would be worried about.

I agree if that is at normal speed then it was the equivalent of a blink or eye cleaning roll.
