what hygrometer do you use as problems with mine

im not sure if something wrong with mine.i normally have to mist 4-5 times a day and the humidity drops from 72% to 40% in 3hrs or so.well today out of nowhere its stayed between 70% & 73% all day since 8am.so i took it out and put it in the fridge.i got it down to 50% then put it back in.the weird thing was it wouldnt go above 56%.so i gave the viv a little mist and it went to 68%??
should they not get water in them as if so this is impossible.

are these rubbish?
its an exo terra digital hygrometer.
what to you recommend thats not to costly??
i need something i can get in the uk

To be honest I wouldn't bother getting another. Aslong as the chameleon gets enough water and doesn't look dehydrated and you still spray a few times a day he will be fine.

I have found the cheap dial ones more reliable!

I use the zilla digital thermo/hygro with probes for each, it works great, but I'd suggest the temp probe be used for ambient temps as opposed to basking spots.

i think it was getting too wet.ive positioned it elswhere so thst it will not get wet so ill see how it goes.
