what happens at a christening when your a god parent??

I've just been asked by my brother and sister in law to be the god mother of my two nephews I'm so pleased but its dawned on me I have no clue what happens at the christening when your asked to be the god parent. Does anyone know? Our religion is Christian church of England if that changes anything, the unkown is making me really nervous. :/

the pastor is basically just going to confirm your commitment to God in taking the responsibility of a type of guardian (which is basically a godmother), you'll probably have to sign a certificate for it to be official, and then the pastor will just pray over you and bless you.


it's nothing to sweat. circumcision is a religious law, and not at all practiced by christians, plus its up to parents. so i promise you no snippys LMAO. if thats what you were nervous about.

circumcision is definitely not gonna happen I know that for sure, lol. It just I get nervous with things when I dunno how they go then I start to panic. I don't fancy making an idiot of myself in church, lol. I can handle what you've just said. thanks

I'm all good thanks - same old, same old (got hold of some genuine Pineapple Express last couple of days - been a blast, lol). I don't belong to any religion at all, gave it up at age 12 when I realised it was an option.........most of the Bilble is one long warning against scribes, pharisees and organised religion anyways
