what frog is this?

Okay so I was at the lake again and caught this frog I know it isn't a bull frog (at least I think it isn't) but what kind of frog is it.

with out the tail this frog is around one and a half-ish

That's what I thought too but we will have to wait for it to develop colors or body shape since it is just now transforming into a frog.

Are you aware of the problems we are experiencing (globally) with declining frog populations?
Please don't remove frogs from a natural environment where they are doing well, unless you are certain the frog is a non-native, invasive species.

It was a random Guess LOL ID'ing amphibians from the other side of the planet based on a blurry pic is not my strong suit!
Either Keep it or return it to exactly where you found it, dont risk the spread of chytrid.
Keep it quarantined from any other frogs you may have if any.

I dont know mate, just looks like a leopard frog to me but then I dont know where you are. Just a guess, no more than that. Maybe borrow a feild guide to local frogs from your library, might help you Id it?

definitely a bullfrog. i breed these guys in my pond outback. too robust for a young leopard frog. HUGE webbed feet and the eyes give it away. and they are very spotted when younger. thats the definition of invasive! lol. yosemite had to kill off a huge amount of them because they were declining a bird population lol
