What does the nose signify?

Hello, I've noticed some chameleons have an elongated nose bridge at the tip o their snout and some don't have one at all. What does this signify? Does it have to do with breed? I have an ambilobe, but mine is completely flat. But pictures of other ambilobes on here have the tip on the end. Just curious, thanks

Some species of Chameleon have large modified nasal ridges. And there is quite a bit of variability within chams like Panthers who have them.

Hm okay thanks. So if my Panther doesn't have that- does that say anything about which locale he is? Or is it just a random trait?

Yes, no, and maybe. It's just one of the factors that deliniate locals. Color, size, rostrum, casque, all factors.

The femle panthers rostrals are usually very short and the males have ones that are more elongated. Some of the biggest ones I have seen have been on Wild Caught Ambanjas.
