Hi, if you check my album you'll see some pictures of my new 3 month old Jackson Chameleon named, Tricky. When I first unboxed him, he was a rather light brown. In fact very light brown. He almost matched my skin colour, just a bit darker. Upon putting him in his cage, he immediately turned a darker brown, with those lighter brown, yellowish, on his sides. I will not be handling him anymore for a few days to let him settle, but a few hours after putting him in I took him out again, and I noticed he went from that darker brown, to the lighter brown again, almost matching my skin once more. Putting him back in the enclosure, he was darker brown.
For these times I am referring to, there were no blotching or dark spots (there were in his cage but that was because he was stressed out, probably from seeing me spraying water. Does this colour change have to temperature? I'd take a picture of him like that again, but I do not want to take him out and potentially stress him. If I need to take him out again though to clean his cage or anything like that, I'll be sure to try to get a photograph.
