What do I do?!

Well there is a nest in my roof and the mother has just been frequently pushing her eggs out of the nest and pooping on my husbands car. I wanted to let nature take its course but my husband took it down and there is 2 eggs in it. when I took out the eggs to heat them because that mom aint coming back one of them broke. One is still alive and well and I am trying to salvage his egg, it is not broken nor cracked one bit. We are planning to give it to the class finches after spring break but I have to wait till next Monday. Any tips for me to help him live through the week?

you can go online and see how to make a temp/ home made incubator - its pretty easy- but you are going to add it to a nest of finches ? if they do not have eggs, they just wont hop on - lol and if they do- if this one hatches , and its a bigger baby, it may break their eggs, or kill the baby finches - I would take it to a nature center - they are set up to deal w/ these things , but good to see you care about the egg ~

Keep them warm like incubating cham eggs If they get too cold they die. And baby birds will survive on campbells chicken noodles believe it or not a vet told me that one.
Don't you have enough pets like I do : ) lol

I just candled the egg to see if it is fertile and I am almost sure it was unfertile the whole d*** time. So much for getting out of bed every 5 hours to turn it and every 3 hours stop what I was doing and turn it like a natural mother. (BTW little leaf I don't think there is a nature center in my EXTREMELY urban part of Cali XD)
